My battery died in the parking lot of Giant after I had just bought my yogurt for the week. Adam came out, tested the battery, jumped the car, led me back to the garage where he and his team immediately replaced the battery and kept my yogurt in the refrigerator as I waited. Got me up and running and back on my way to work in less than an hour. They are SUPER!!!! As others have noted everyone here is honest, friendly, and super helpful! I can't recommend highly enough!

The best mechanics I've ever worked with. I squeeze every mile I can out of my cars, and Barry and company (especially Dave) helped me get 175,038 miles out of my Taurus, and they even warned me when the transmission was about to die. It actually died three days later, en route to me picking up my next car, which may be in one of those photos and is now going strong at 112,000 miles. These guys are very fair in their rates (I absolutely do not understand why people take their cars to dealers for maintenance) and their estimates are precise to within a few dollars of the final cost. They're not open on the weekends, but they have an after-hours drop, and if you need a rental, there is a rental car company just about two blocks away. Gill's is also near Dulles Crossing, so there are a lot of shopping and restaurant options in the area while one's car is being worked on. They also do state safety and emissions inspections, and I recommend that you get your oil changed at the same time, which beats sitting in line at a gas station to get only the inspections done. I've been going to Gill's for 10 years, and am really happy to have a "neighborhood mechanic". Highly recommended.

I have brought multiple cars to Gill's over the past several years and based upon my experience, won't go anywhere else. While I've had the unpleasant news from them (which I expected), they have also saved me tons when I DID expect to pay through the nose. I've been taking my cars here for over 15 years. Awesome and honest service! Recently had my wife stop and take one of our cars to a place closer to our house to have a tire plugged from a slow leak. I was told that I needed a new tire, a 4 wheel balance and rotation, and an alignment all for $462! I obviously told them they were crazy. I took my car to Gill's and for $16 they plugged the tire. A year later and it still doesn't leak! Need I say more.

Is there anything better than when you walk out of an automotive shop, your car in working order, and feeling like you didn't just get shafted?? I've been searching for a place like Gill's for way longer than I want to think about. Now that I've found them, I'm never going anywhere else. Barry is awesome - such a pleasure to work with and he won't make you feel like he's buttering you up for a sale. Joe in the front office was great to work with too. They get you in and out fast, The work is quality and you'll be shocked when they tell you your bill... because it's completely affordable. Don't even think about going anywhere else. These guys are awesome!! 5 stars from this happy first time customer!

Our family has 3 older cars and, with college payments coming up, we're trying to avoid a new car payment for as long as possible. :) We could absolutely not do this without the support of Barry, Joe, Adam, and the rest of the guys at Gill's Automotive. They are both honest and knowledgeable about what we need to do now, and realistic about what can wait. I never feel they are recommending service "just because." We have been coming here for many, many years, and will continue to do so as long as we live in the area.

We've been taking our cars and trucks to Gill's for over 15 years. Before we found Gill's I recall going from one place to the next, never satisfied with the work that was done and always feeling like I was getting ripped off. It's such a good feeling for us not to have to think about where to take our vehicles, because they've always been up front with us and explained everything clearly. Every time I hear someone complain about service to his/her car, I always say, "take your car to Gill's and you'll never have to think about where to take it again." They've never given us a reason to look anywhere else for service, and for that, I'm very grateful. Keep up the good work!!!
